Job Description:
On behalf of our public-sector client, Affinity is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Cybersecurity & IT Resiliency Program to join its IT Programs & Projects Delivery / PMO team and primarily lead projects within its Cybersecurity & IT Resiliency Program. This is a senior, enterprise-level PM role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex technology projects from initiation through implementation and operational sustainment, while working with senior stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and other project resources.
Responsibilities:
• Lead complex cybersecurity and technology projects through the full project lifecycle.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, resources, quality, procurement and communications.
• Lead cross-functional teams that may include Project Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, QA Analysts, Data Analysts and business representatives.
• Manage projects involving both on-premises and SaaS implementations.
• Oversee technical teams through design, development, testing, deployment and change management.
• Manage project budgets, including subcontractors and suppliers.
• Work with Steering Committees and Technical Advisory Committees and help drive decisions and consensus.
• Provide regular executive-level status reporting and presentations.
• Develop project plans, business cases, schedules, financials, RAID logs, risk plans and other PMO documentation.
• Follow TransLink's BTS Project Management methodology (Atlas) throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support organizational change management and business process improvements.
• Potentially take on other full-lifecycle projects within the BTS Project Management department.
Must-Have Experience
1. Senior Project Management
• 8+ years of full-cycle project management experience.
• Experience managing large and complex technology implementations.
• Experience across the entire lifecycle, from requirements through operational sustainment.
2. Large-Scale Project Leadership
• Experience managing projects with $2M+ budgets.
• Experience leading teams of 10+ people, including matrixed resources.
• Strong experience coordinating both internal and external resources.
3. Stakeholder & Executive Management
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Comfortable working with senior management and executives.
• Strong stakeholder management and consultation/facilitation experience.
4. Technology Project Delivery
• Experience delivering technology projects and business process initiatives.
• Ability to gather and analyze both functional and technical requirements.
• Strong understanding of project risk, change, issue, scope, schedule, resource, budget and quality management.
5. Cybersecurity Experience
• 5+ years of Information Security / Cybersecurity implementation experience is desirable.
• This is a major differentiator, although the core requirement is strong senior-level project management experience.
Nice-to-Haves
• Canadian public-sector experience.
• Cybersecurity / Information Security project implementation experience.
• PMP designation.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with organizational change management.
