We are partnering with a leading investment banking platform seeking an ambitious and highly analytical Associate to join its M&A team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment banking professional to work on high-profile transactions across a variety of industries, gaining exposure to complex strategic advisory assignments including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate finance transactions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in transaction execution, financial analysis, client engagement, and deal origination support while working closely with senior bankers and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities Transaction Execution- Support the end-to-end execution of M&A transactions.
- Assist with transaction management, due diligence processes, and deal coordination.
- Prepare marketing materials, client presentations, and transaction documentation.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models.
- Perform company valuations using a range of methodologies.
- Analyse transaction scenarios and assess strategic and financial implications for clients.
- Conduct in-depth industry, market, and company research.
- Identify potential acquisition targets and strategic opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscapes.
- Engage directly with clients to understand strategic objectives.
- Support negotiations and transaction discussions.
- Coordinate effectively with lawyers, accountants, consultants, and other advisors throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Manage data rooms and information requests.
- Coordinate internal and external due diligence workstreams.
- Assist in preparing offering memorandums, information memorandums, presentations, and transaction-related correspondence.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations highlighting transaction opportunities, valuation analyses, and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure transactions are executed in accordance with applicable regulations and internal compliance standards.
- 2–4 years of experience within:
- Investment Banking
- Mergers & Acquisitions
- Corporate Finance
- Transaction Advisory
- Related financial advisory environments
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- MBA, Master's degree, or relevant professional qualifications are advantageous.
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Solid understanding of corporate finance and M&A transaction processes.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
