Data Architecture & Governance Lead

Data Architecture & Governance Lead

You will lead a team of data architects and data analysts to ensure that the data in the platform is valuable, accurate and meets all relevant regulations. You will work with development teams to ensure that the platform always puts data value first.

Your interest or expertise in the financial industry drives your curiosity to learn about how our business and support groups derive value from data. The financial industry is rapidly expanding its investment in data analytics and this role will provide an opportunity to gain an intimate understanding of how data relates to the trading environment. To be successful you will need to be empathetic to the drivers of stakeholders from across the organisation. Your previous experience will allow our stakeholders to understand the potential value of data to the organisation. The idea of explaining the value of meta-data, schema coherency and data lineage to senior business stakeholders does not phase you.

To drive value for our business you will understand how data is used by both our operational processes and by our data science teams. You will lead a flexible data governance process that ensures that we understand how data is being used and have the appropriate controls in place. Your team will work with our data platform development teams to automate data architecture & governance within the platform. Your team will provide expertise on modelling critical data domains to business data owners, domain experts and technical teams.

If you have a passion for bringing a sense of order and structure to the rapidly moving data environment, understand the risks associated with poor data design, and you are comfortable championing the importance of proper data management principles; then please apply now!
