Head of Accounting (m/w/d)

For our client, a highly successful company and an absolute top-player in its broad field of IT-Services, we are looking for a strategic thinker to fill the position Head of Accounting, for their location in Zurich. In this role you will act as a direct report to the Chief Financial Officer and manage a team of 3.This presents a unique opportunity to join one of the frontrunners in the industry and to work within a international setting that provides the possibility to play a leading role and further drive the company's success story. Fluency in German and English is mandatory.

Your Responsibilities

• Independently lead a team of 3 including hirin, training and development activities
• Take over full responsibility over General Ledger, Accounts Payable as well as Accounts Receiveable
• Manage payroll for all group entities with external payroll services in collaboration with the HR team
• Handle the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities for all group entities
• Ensure a timely and accurate preparation of the financial data including consolidation, general ledger, balance sheets and cash flow statements
• Fulfill requests from the main shareholder in a timely manner including monthly upload of the consolidated financial statements into their financial system
• Handle Swiss and EU VAT, Corporations Tax filings as well as other tax and statistical reporting
• Take over responsibility for external audits
• Drive and support project work
• Monitor compliance with financial controls,policies and procedures
• Develop process and system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Act as a superuser of key financial statements

Your Profile

• Degree in Accounting (Eidg. Fachausweis Finanz- und Rechnungswesen / Dipl. Expertin in Rechnungslegung und Controlling or equivalent)
• Minimum of 5 year of professional experience - ideally for an international Swiss company working according to Swiss Gaap and/or IFRS
• You thrive working in as well as leading a team and have a knack for communication
• You are featured with deep analytical, systematic and strategic skills that are highlighted by your organizational skills
• You are known for your hands-on and proactive way of working and proof yourself to be resilient and share a track record of high-quality work
• Fluent German and English skills are mandatory
