Job Description
The Analyst Program is a two-year full-time employment program designed for early-career professionals who are motivated to build a long-term career in private markets and private credit investing. Following a tailored three-week training module, analysts gain hands-on experience across fund investments, secondary transactions and direct co-investments, supported by experienced investment professionals and structured on-the-job development. Participants who perform strongly may have the opportunity to continue their career at LGT Capital Partners as an Associate.
The position is available in either Switzerland, near Zurich, or London. The anticipated start date is 1 July 2027.
LGT Capital Partners' Private Credit Solutions team invests globally across private credit through direct co-investments, secondary transactions and fund investments. With a flexible mandate and a dynamic ethos, the team identifies compelling risk-adjusted returns across a broad range of sub-strategies, including senior direct lending, subordinated debt, and various opportunistic credit strategies. The team invests on behalf of a diverse global client base.
Through the Analyst Program, you will develop core investment skills across credit analysis, financial modelling, transaction underwriting, execution and ongoing monitoring, while gaining exposure to a variety of private credit strategies, managers and transactions.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Private Credit Solutions team and will contribute across the full private credit investment lifecycle, including:

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Private Credit Solutions team and will contribute across the full private credit investment lifecycle, including:
- Supporting and taking ownership in sourcing, screening, due diligence, execution and monitoring across private credit co-investments, secondary transactions and fund investments;
- Covering the investment universe through regular interaction with private credit managers, intermediaries and other market participants, as well as conducting sector analysis and research;
- Performing and enhancing credit analysis and financial modelling, and supporting transaction underwriting and execution;
- Preparing analyses and documentation for investment committee discussions and client presentations;
- Monitoring and analyzing existing private credit investments and market trends, maintaining and developing internal databases, and contributing to the continued development of the Private Credit Solutions practice.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with:
- strong academic credentials from a leading university at Bachelor's or Master's level in business, economics, finance, accounting or other quantitative degrees;
- prior internship experience in private credit, leveraged finance, direct lending, private equity, investment banking or transaction advisory will be considered favorably;
- a solid understanding of financial statements and fundamental business analysis;
- strong interest in private credit and in assessing credit risk, capital structures and downside protection across different strategies and market environments;
- curiosity about the interaction between company fundamentals, documentation, structuring, market dynamics and macroeconomic factors in private credit investing;
- excellent written and spoken English, additional languages are an advantage;
- a collaborative, curious, organized, and entrepreneurial mindset.
