The incumbent is responsible for enterprise wide data governance and formulation of information strategy with a view to derive value from the use of information as an asset. The role will be accountable for information protection and privacy, information governance, data quality and data life cycle management, along with the use of data assets to create business value.


  • Establish the strategic direction for building the bank's data management program and define the governing policies including the data roadmap.
  • Lead the team in the life cycle of Data Management comprising of acquisition, standards, quality assurance and data analytics infrastructure.
  • Enablement of Analytics teams across different businesses and functions, through provision of data technology, and data expertise.
  • Leverage on the data assets to create business value through the use of data science. Define appropriate analytical models necessary to support use cases such as client segmentation, optimize product launches, NNM opportunities, etc.
  • Work with Risk and Technology partners to ensure information protection and privacy.

Ideally, the candidate should have some, if not all of the following:
  • Over 10 years of working experience in a senior Data Analytics or Data Science position.
  • Well versed in the design, development and validation of descriptive, predictive, prescriptive, and applied analytics.
  • Experience in a consulting role for senior business leadership in a banking environment.
  • Hands-on leadership roles directly managing data and analytics teams.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience within the banking industry.
