Job Description

1. Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting

• Track the financial, operational, and strategic performance of portfolio companies through periodic reports, board meetings, and onsite reviews.
• Prepare clear and concise portfolio updates for internal teams, investment committees, and other key stakeholders.

1. Coordination & Value Creation

• Support the execution of post-investment value creation initiatives.
• Facilitate collaboration and resource sharing between the firm and its portfolio companies, leveraging internal networks and functional experts across finance, legal, HR, and technology.
• Work closely with portfolio companies on follow-on fundraising efforts and operational enhancement projects.

1. Industry & Technical Research

• Monitor industry value chain developments and identify relevant emerging technologies, particularly in global decarbonization across Asia, Europe, and the U.S.
• Conduct competitive landscape assessments, evaluating market positioning and sector dynamics.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to validate technical and commercial analyses.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Energy, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Green Energy Technologies, Chemistry, or related disciplines.
• 3-5 years of experience in consulting, corporate development, investment research, or industry roles in energy, oil & gas, green technologies, industrial materials, or chemicals (candidates with less experience may be considered for Analyst level).
• Demonstrated experience supporting business development, value creation, or operational improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Working knowledge of renewable fuels, chemical processes, energy storage technologies, and industrial systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Curious, proactive, and collaborative, with a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to travel occasionally.
