The Company

A well-established Melbourne-based organisation in the government sector, currently midway through a significant modernisation program. With a growing portfolio of cloud-native services and a number of legacy platforms still in play, integration sits at the centre of how the business operates.

The Role

You'll join a compact engineering team as the go-to person for building and maintaining integrations across the Azure stack. This is hands-on delivery work - designing and shipping integrations between finance, CRM, HR and third-party platforms, and making sure data moves reliably between them.


Day to day you will:

• Design, build and support integrations using Azure Logic Apps, Function Apps and Service Bus
• Develop and maintain APIs and backend services in C#/.NET
• Integrate SaaS and on-premise systems via REST, SOAP and file-based interfaces
• Implement error handling, retry logic, logging and monitoring so integrations fail loudly, not silently
• Work with business stakeholders to map processes and translate them into integration requirements
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Support and uplift existing integrations, including some legacy migration work

About You

• Strong commercial experience in C#/.NET development
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions
• Solid understanding of integration patterns - messaging, event-driven architecture, pub/sub
• Experience with Azure Service Bus, API Management or Event Grid
• Comfortable working across multiple systems and negotiating with the people who own them
• Exposure to Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Clear communicator who can explain technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders
