Security Architect | 12-Month Contract

We are partnering with a highly recognised household-name organisation to secure a Security Architect for an initial 12-month contract.
This is a broad security architecture role with a strong focus on helping the organisation design and embed secure technology solutions across a large and complex environment.
You'll work closely with senior technology and business stakeholders, providing security architecture guidance across projects, technology initiatives and the wider security landscape. The role will involve assessing solutions, identifying and managing security risks, developing security requirements and ensuring security is considered from the early stages of design through to implementation.
The role

• Provide security architecture advice across major technology projects and initiatives
• Develop and review security designs, patterns, standards and requirements
• Assess technology solutions and identify potential security risks and control gaps
• Work closely with technology, engineering and business stakeholders to embed security into projects
• Support risk assessments, remediation activities, audits and assurance processes
• Provide guidance across areas including cloud, infrastructure, applications and emerging technologies
• Contribute to the development and continual improvement of security standards, policies and frameworks
• Engage with vendors and technology partners to assess security capabilities and requirements
• Represent security across project and governance forums

About you
We're looking for a security professional with strong security architecture experience and the ability to operate comfortably with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You'll ideally bring:

• Strong experience in cyber security / information security, with a background in security architecture or security consulting
• Experience designing and assessing security controls within complex enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of enterprise security principles, architecture and risk management
• Exposure to cloud security, infrastructure and/or application security
• Experience working across security frameworks, standards, policies and risk requirements
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• The ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide pragmatic security advice
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
